All teachers in Vanuatu are entitled to a free schools.edu.vu account. The Ministry of Education and Training will use this account to send information to teachers.
Vanuatu teacher email addresses are generated automatically from VEMIS (Vanuatu Education Management Information System) for all teachers with a valid "placement". Please contact the Teaching Service Commission (TSC) to check that you have a valid "placement". If there is another teacher with a similar name, the system will try the following options to generate a unique email address.
For example: Ms Rae Gay Rocks
Option 1: rrocks@schools.edu.vu
Option 2: rgrocks@schools.edu.vu
Option 3: raerocks@schools.edu.vu
Option 4: raegrocks@schools.edu.vu
Option 5: raegayrocks@schools.edu.vu
Passwords are generated automatically using the teachers surname and date of birth in the following format: <Welcome><Surname><Day of Birth>
Example 1:
Ms Rae Gay Rocks was born on 1 January 1990.
Password = WelcomeRocks01
Example 2:
Mr Oliver Sutton was born on 31 December 1980.
Password = WelcomeSutton31
Notes:
- Passwords are case sensitive
- Welcome has a capital W
- Surname has a capital first letter but all other letters are lowercase
- There are no spaces or other special characters
- Day of birth less than 10 has a leading zero
- You will be required to change your password when you first login
